MY LAST BLOG

Good afternoon, I have a regrettable news, this is my last blog, but don't worry, being the last has to be the best of all. That's why today I'm going to tell you about what I'd like to do after I finish study journalism.

Resultado de imagen para avionFirstly, after finishing my career, I would like to be able to travel the world doing photojournalism, because as I said in the previous blog, I really like taking photos but giving them a news context, that is relevant and that can become a good photo report.

Secondly, after a while, I wish I could live outside my native country, settle in some country in Europe or Oceania, it could be France, United Kingdom or Spain.  In addition to traveling, I have always wanted to have the experience of staying in another country for some time, it would be a dream fulfilled living outside Chile, even for a while.

But since I know that most of the things I've said so far are dreams that could be difficult for me to achieve, my other plans are to get a job within the country, where I can use the tools I've learned throughout my career to inform others inform others of situations in and out of the country.

Besides, although I'd love to live abroad, I'd have a hard time getting away from my parents, my sister and my dog, I'm too close to them to get used to being so far away from them. I know that now is not the time when I meet one of the goals I have set myself, but I know that I will achieve it one day with a lot of effort.

Well, that was my last blog, where I tell you what I'd like for my future. If you have an equal or different dream write a comment on it and is about it being fulfilled in the future. I may rewrite them some other time, but for now, goodbye.

MY FAVORITE SUBJECT

Good afternoon everyone, today I want to tell you about my favorite subject this semester. As I mentioned in another blog, I study journalism and what I like has a lot to do with my career, and the subject is photojournalism.

I’ve always been a fan of taking pictures (not being in them), but never take it very seriously as an activity, so when I got to class, I learned a lot of things that I never thought I’d learn, like having to use a camera, see that there are types of photographs that need certain technique to be able to make them or to have to handle in which types of light I take the photos.
Resultado de imagen para camara For each class, I usually have to take a lot of photos to show my teacher the advances you need to review for the jobs I have been assigned. In addition, I have to do news reports or relevant topics, but through the photos, which makes this class more fun.

Also, I have to edit the photos that have some faults such as the brightness, the frame, the focus or any detail that can be edited and to be able to make all these editions, I have to use photoshop, which I learned to use in class, too.

What I like most about photojournalism is constantly taking pictures, in addition to being able to choose the themes I want to portray.

Well, that was it for today,  see you on the next blog, goodbye.

Lewis Hine: father of photojournalism

Good morning, today I want to tell you about a photographer that I had to tall abouth a while ago and that I found very interesting, since it has to do with my career, wich is journalism.

Who I'm talking about is Lewis Hine, was an important American documentary photographer, born in 1874 and died in 1940. In 1898 he studied pedagogy and sociology at the University of Chicago. Hine continued his studies at the University of New York, where he worked for years as an assistant professor of natural sciences. In 1905 he finally obtained a degree in pedagogy.

He began photographing the arrival of immigrants to Ellis Island (New York), in order to serve as an illustrative support in his classes. Hine carried out a real documentary work on emigration to the United States, in which he not only recorded the arrival of immigrants, He also photographed the insane dwellings where they were overcrowded and the miserable jobs that barely allowed them to survive.

He also carried out an investigation requested by The National Committee on Child Labour, an agency set up to combat child explotation. Hine traveled all over country photographing child workes in mines, factories or workshops.

These works I did because Hine liked to show the reality of people trough her photographs and by this style in wich i venture, he is convinced by the father of photojournalism, for conducting a journalistic investigation but througyh his photos, something that had not been done at that time.

I like Hine's career for the style I take her photos to, as I'd like to do that kind of journalism in the future. Well, that's all for today, I'll write you next saturday, bye.

My Favorite Season

Good afternoon to all my readers, today I want to comment on my favorite season of year, but first I have to say that it is not only one, are ¡two! .

Winter and summer I love equally, may sound somewhat contradictory as they are so different, but that's what I like them.

Resultado de imagen para lluviaI really like winter because of the rain, as I love walk under and the cold winds that are during that time are fantastic.

Although someday I want snow to fall in the city where I live, it never falls, but I will someday have a snowy winter.

Resultado de imagen para playaAs for the summer, I like to be on vacation and be able to go to the beach, since to jump to the sea is fantastic in days with very hot.

Well, that was my blog of the day, I hope you like it and tell me: What is your favorite season of the year?

I hope you are well and see you next saturday with the following blog.

A picture that I like

Good morning people, today I want to talk about a photograph that I like very much.

This picture was taken by me in September of last year, after I had been given anew cell phone for my birthday and I was practicing with your camera.

In this photo you see “You”, my dog, which is lying on my bed while looking at sunlight coming through the window.

My dog is too restless, so it cost me a lot to get a picture like that. I remember that whenever I try to take picture of my pet, minimum I have to take ten and this photo session was not the exception, since it´s only I went well.

I love taking pictures of my dog, but I like this in particular because this photo conveys a lot of peace and tranquility. Well, that was my blog today, I hope you liked and I write next Saturday, bye. :)
